Children’s Art Courses : Oakville Harbour, Studio, or Tuscany !

Summer Art Camps with Dawn-Angela have been running for 16 years ! Wow! where does time go? And why have these DRAWING & PAINTING COURSES have been successful for this long….?

Because students return year after year after year! Referrals and younger siblings come and experience for themselves what a great time is to be had outdoors, painting plein air (in natural light), developing SKILLS …. and MEMORIES! Professional artists including artistic director, Dawn-Angela Seeley and Isabella Springett, teach realism and purist basics of composition, shape, light values, colour mixing, using only primary colours and training the creative eye in different mediums. A FUNDAMENTAL FOUNDATION COURSE. FINE ART! Not Arts & Crafts.

Students gain experience in watercolours, pastels, acrylics, drawing, and mixed media, providing a fundamental base for future artistic endeavours. We ENCOURAGE and NURTURE creative talent, training the creative eye.

This year we are offering 4 locations for Summer Camps:

June 29 – July 12                                                                                                                                    

1. Tuscany Family Getaway, 5 creative artistic workshops offered in the same area where Da Vinci, Michelangelo and Della Francesca painted. Includes sightseeing in Florence, Assissi, Arezzo,  many Medieval Villages off the beaten track, and living like locals in the Tuscan culture in an 18th century country house. August 7-31

2. Oakville Harbour, Lakeside Park, Navy & Front Sts., Oakville

Age 6 – 10 yrs. 1/2 day: 9.15 – 12.15 pm. $248.60 includes materials & HST

Bring: Folding painting stool. Art bag, painting smock, masking tape, margarine tub, toilet roll with 1/2 tissue left.

Age 10 – 16yrs. Full day 9.15 – 3.15pm. $383.55 includes materials & HST

Bring: Folding painting stool. Art bag, painting smock, masking tape, margarine tub, toilet roll with 1/2 tissue left. Favourite pencils if you have a set.  Portable, folding easel if you have one.

August 7-10 (4-day week)

3. Speckles Art Studio, 461 North Service Rd., W., Unit 11B, Oakville                                    

Age 6 – 10 yrs. 1/2 day: 9.15 – 12.15 pm. $202.27 includes materials & HST

Bring: Folding painting stool. Art bag, painting smock, masking tape, margarine tub, toilet roll with 1/2 tissue left.

Age 10 – 16yrs. Full day 9.15 – 3.15pm. $311.88 includes materials & HST

August 13-17                                                                                                                                

4. Private Art Lessons. On-Location in your home or in the park.

Limited availability of private or semi-private lessons for any age. $150 per 2  hour session. A series of lessons, or work on your portfolio, or an unfinished painting that you are struggling with, medium of choice. Contact artist@artonlocation.ca
