Preparing for your Summer 2019 Tuscany Trip

Come and enjoy the serene countryside around our infinity edge pool, as you lie in a hammock, encased by the Appenine mountains and fields of smiling sunflowers.

Watch the sun set from the aptio as a chef prepares and serves your moonlit 5 course dinner.

Enjoy a pizza from an ancient pizza oven at the Bar Baldaccio Ristorante in the Piazza Garibaldi. Day trips to Assisi, Florence, Arezzo and the beach of Rimini on the Adriatic Coast, are taken from our medieval base of the village of Anghiari.

BUT MY FAVOURITE day trips are to the small, off the beaten track, medieval villages were you can wander and wonder at the views, enjoy local cooking and views and vistas. I like to sit in the stillness, meditate, journal, paint, read… feel sun on my body and the mountain breeze in my hair.

We depart Toronto on June 28 and arrive in time for the celebration of the Battle of Anghiari, fought in 1440 on June 29 and painted by

Vinci. Pomp and ceremony, medieval costumes, flag showers and horsemanship. Not to be
missed — that is why we panned the trip around this event.

Children and adults alike can take Cooking Classes, Painting and Drawing Workshops or a Composition for Photographers and Artists Workshop, learning how to take better, artistic photographs and see light on subject matter like they have never have seen before.

Our second week will be spent in the friendly city of Florence and then Venice, exploring the canals and ancient merchant centre.

Museums, cooking and painting classes are optional.

We have separate itineraries for children.
